Back	The Culture Ants Visit the Ottoman Bank Museum The Culture Ants, a project of the Foundation for the Development of Cultural Awareness, organized a guided tour of the Ottoman Bank Museum for the 8th graders of the Anafartalar primary school in Karanfilköy. In a program prepared in collaboration with a pedagogue and a specialized guide, "the Culture Ants" visited the Ottoman Bank Museum and the Galata Tower and its surroundings. The children, who were impressed most by the two-storied Mecidiye safe room, were given lunch, drew pictures and staged a performance relating their experiences of the day. The Culture Ants project originated in the conviction, held by the Foundation for the Development of Cultural Awareness, that children are the stepping stone to the diffusion of cultural values. The Foundation concentrates on history, archeology, the fine arts, modern and contemporary art and organizes cultural excursions.
