Voyvoda Street Comes Alive
The Ottoman Bank Museum’s 2003 – 2004 program begins in October

The Ottoman Bank Museum opens its 2003-2004 season this October with a full roster of events and activities and adds two new series, the Istanbul Lectures and The Making of Contemporary Turkey Seminars, to its current lectures and talks programs.

The 2003-2004 lectures program will accordingly revolve around five main themes; The Economic History Lectures, ongoing since 2000, the Architectural Talks and the City Tours, initiated last year and the Istanbul Lectures and the Making of Contemporary Turkey Seminars, beginning this season. The museum is also inaugurating a movie theater where films on specific themes will be presented in collaboration with TÜRSAK (the Turkish Cinema and Audiovisual Cultural Foundation). The screenings will be followed by discussions on that month's theme or on a selected film.

The extensive program of lectures offered, throughout the year, under the general heading, the Voyvoda Street Lectures, seeks to reflect the diversity of the archival materials displayed in the Museum and targeting a different field of interest each week, actively contributes to the vitality of Voyvoda Street's cultural landscape.
