At the Ottoman Bank Museum
Music and Literature
Sarper Özsan will be joining us at Music and Literature this month to discuss, with illustrative examples, the interaction of music and literature from the Middle Ages to our day. The lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, November 23, at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Museum, free of charge.
Sarper Özsan holds a degree in composition from the Ankara State Conservatory. From 1978 to 1981 he served as a representative of artistic associations on the TRT Board of Directors. He has been a featured speaker at numerous lectures and seminars and has contributed articles to various art publications. In addition to composing the music of several plays and documentaries, Sarper Özsan created the original scores of a number of Turkish films including, Asiye Nasıl Kurtulur? and Su da Yanar. He currently teaches at the State Conservatory of Istanbul Mimar Sinan University
