Agriculture: Communication between the World and Turkey

The Voyvoda Street Political Economy Lectures host Prof. Erol Çakmak this month with a presentation entitled, "Agriculture: Communication between the World and Turkey," in which he addresses the threats and opportunities Turkey may face, depending on the political choices of the big players in global trade. The lecture will be held on Wednesday, December 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

"In our day, agricultural policies are among the most debated topics, both at the national and international level," says Çakmak. "EU accession negotiations demand careful examination of every development and possible interaction between the agricultural sectors of both Turkey and the EU."

Political Economy lectures on the theme, "Preparing Turkey for the New World Order," are held this season, on the first Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
